Day 280 - Saturday - My heroine, Missy!

All day long today I am asking, "God, what are you doing, now?" "God what are you doing, now?" I totally let my friend Don's stepdad's hernia go by.  Sure I thought about offering to pray for him, after all he has had it for more than twenty years.  But I let it go by.

Tonight I am at dinner with a group of friends celebrating Kara's birthday.  From almost the moment we got there our waitress was crabby.  After a her second or third time at our table I realized she was in pain and that is why she was crabby.  So I started praying and asking the Lord what He was doing.  I started praying and asking for an opportunity to pray with her.  I prayed off and on throughout our meal. At the end of the night, almost all of the other people in the restaurant were gone and we were just waiting for our waitress to return with our credit cards and receipts.  I thought here is my opportunity! And then the moment passed...

We headed out to the elevator to leave and as we all got on the elevator someone asked where Missy was.  I turned around and there she was praying with a man who was missing both of his legs and he was blind!  When she finished praying the other ladies with him asked for prayer as well.  IT was SO INCREDIBLE!
Missy's boldness was phenomenal!  I am praying that my love for people will surpass my fear all the time every time.  That I will always be bold like Missy and step out in faith and pray for others no matter where I am. What a sweetheart she has and how awesome that her heart definitely showed Christ's love and goodness toward those people tonight!
